10. George Alva Sprinkle was born 28 Feb 1858 in Meigs Twp., Adams Co. OH. He died 29 Jul 1930 (Death Record Page 1 2) in Grant Co. IN and was buried in Knox Chapel Cemetery, Section A. George married Julia Ann Rogers on 10 Mar 1881 in Lawshee, Adams Co. OH.  No marriage license is available due to a fire at the Adams County Courthouse in the early 20th century.  After Julia’s death in 1923, George married Carrie Ethel Cuthrell of Greentown IN on 15 Dec 1926.  George’s parents were William Harrison Sprinkle and Harriet Gulda Mathias.

Obituary printed in the 1930 Apostolic Review - "SPRINKLE--George Alva Sprinkle was born on 28 Feb 1858; departed this life 29 Jul 1930, aged 72 years, 5 months, 1 day.  He was born in Adams Co., Ohio, received education in common schools in the little village of Jacksonville.  he was the next to the oldest child of William and Harriet Sprinkle, and was one of 10 children; 4 brothers preceded him in death.  George married Julia Anne Rogers, daughter of John W. and Sarah Rogers, of Newport, Ohio, 10 Mar 1881.  To this happy union were born 3 sons and a daughter.  His wife departed from this life on 31 May 1923.  15 Dec 1926, he was united in marriage to Mrs. Carrie Ethel Cuthrell of new Greentown, Indiana, since which time they lived, devoted to each other, at the old home in Normal.  George, with his first wife, united with the Church of Christ at Lawshe, Ohio.  He came from Ohio in 1900, since which time he lived, except for a short time, near Swayzee and Normal.  He leaves to mourn:  a devoted wife, 3 sons, daughter, 17 grandchildren.  Funeral in church house at Normal.  Body was laid beside his first wife in Knox Chapel Cemetery."

11. Julia Ann Rogers was born 28 Mar 1855 in Adams Co, Ohio. She died 31 May 1923 (Death Record Page 1 2) in Grant Co. IN and was buried in Knox Chapel Cemetery, Section A..  NOTE:  Julia’s obituary, as well as the obituary transcribed above for George, identifies May 31, 1923 as her date of death, rather than the July 2, 1923 date showing on her death record.  Possibly the death record incorrectly has the date the Health Department was informed for the date of death.  Julia’s parents were John Wilson Rogers and Sarah Catherine Jones.
